I was close to DNF-ing because of it but I finally started to think Grandpa Mazur and pretend she was a man and it helped it to make the voice easier to accept. Usually it wouldn't be a problem for me to not like one of the side characters voices but in this book, Grandma Mazur had a really big part and was practically one of the main characters. There wasn't even an inkling of female sound in her Grandma Mazur voice.

The narrator made her sound like a grumpy old man. The voice for Grandma Mazur was really bad. I will continue with more of the series, Narration: I struggled with the narrator this time around. It is really light and fun and an easy listen.

There is pretty much non stop action and mystery up until the very end of the book, even though some of that action is nothing more than sitting in a car for hours on stakeouts. He has managed to get himself invited to several meals by Stephanie's mom and grandma. Speaking of nice young men, Joe Morelli was working right alongside Stephanie for most of this book and although there was some attraction, we don't have much going on there yet. Her mom is still wanting her to find a safe job and fine a nice young man to marry. Mostly from the interactions between Stephanie and her mother. And Grandma is packing a 45! This book was just as funny as book 1 and I found myself laughing out loud several times. In this book, Grandma Mazur got involved in the manhunt and right up in the drama. She still keeps her gun in the cookie jar most of the time though because she is scared of it. Now she has the 38 caliber revolver and defense spray from book one and a new stun gun. In this book, she added a stun gun to her growing arsenal. Stephanie is still getting the hang of the whole bounty hunter job and still pretty uncomfortable with weapons and take-downs. This book picks up shortly after book 1 left off. Two for the Dough is book two in the Stephanie Plum series.
